EDISONFUTURE (“us”, “we”, or “our”) operates edisonfuture.com (the “Site”), as well as our website chatting tool (“Chat Tool”) on the Site, our mobile application (“EDISONFUTURE App”), and/or any of our web services (the “Services”). Our Privacy Policy will keep you apprised of our practices concerning the information we may collect from you through our Site, Chat Tool, EDISONFUTURE App and/or our Services.
1. What Types of Personal Information Do We Collect?
Information You Give Us. While using our Site, Chat Tool, EDISONFUTURE App and/or our Services, we may ask you to provide us with certain Personal Information, which may include your name, job title, email address, postal address, phone number, electricity usage, and physical details about your home.
We may collect information from you in the context of:
Providing our roofing, solar, battery, fencing and related products and services to you; Providing you quotes and information about our products and services at your request; Providing you with promotions or giveaways; Customer support and technical assistance; Account registration and administration for our App and Services;
Providing updates to you regarding your accounts with us; and/or Information that you choose to provide to us via e-mail.
The specific types of information collected will depend upon the services you use or subscribe to.
Information We Automatically Collect. Like many site operators, we collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Site, Chat Tool, EDISONFUTURE App and/or our Services (collectively “Log Data”). This Log Data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our Site that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages and other statistics. Such third-party’s use of the “double click cookie” enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visit to our Site, Chat Tool, EDISONFUTURE App and/or our Services, as well as other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of the use of the Double Click Cookie for interest-based advertising by visiting the Google Ads Settings page.
We may use the analytic tools of third-parties, including Google Analytics, to aid us in understanding your use of our Site, Chat Tool, EDISONFUTURE App and/or our Services. These analytic tools may use cookies or other technologies to collect and store information about you; or they may combine information collected with other sources. EDISONFUTURE only uses aggregate data through its analytical tools which do not store any personally identifiable information. We do not have any access and/or control over the actions of third-parties. In addition, EDISONFUTURE uses re-marketing with Google Analytics to advertise on third-party sites i.e. Display Marketing. In order to do so, first party cookies and cookies from third-parties are used to inform, optimize and serve ads based on your past visits to our Site, Chat Tool, EDISONFUTURE App and/or our Services.
You can opt-out of Google Analytics for Display Advertising and customize the Google Display Network ads by visiting the Google Ads Settings page. Google also recommends installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on for your browser. Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on provides visitors with the ability to prevent their data from being collected and used by Google Analytics.
Information We Collect From Third-Parties. Your friends or family may use the EDISONFUTURE App, e-mail, phone and/or in-person communications to refer your contact information to us. We may use this contact information to inquire about your interest in our services.
2. How Do We Use Personal Information?
We use your personal information as follows:
To fulfill your requests for products and services offered and subscribed or accepted by you, through any medium of communication; To deliver to you any administrative notices, advice and communications relevant to your use of the products and/or services; To analyze Site and/or App usage and improve the services offered; To provide aggregated date from the Site to advertisers to display marketing on third-party sites; and, For market research, project planning, troubleshooting problems, detecting and protecting against error, fraud or other criminal activity.
3. How Do Share Personal Information?
Affiliates and Service Providers. We may share your information with our subsidiaries, affiliates, third-party service providers, and/or any subcontractors as required to offer you our products and services. These social media elements may collect your IP address, which page you are visiting on our site, and may set a cookie to enable the feature to function properly. Social media elements are governed by the privacy policy of the social media company providing the feature and/or widget.
Disclosures Required by Law. We may be required to disclose your data in response to lawful requests by public authorities, including to meet law enforcement requirements. 4. How Do We Respond to ‘Do Not Track’ Signals?
Do Not Track (“DNT”) is a privacy preference that users can set in certain web browsers. DNT is a way for users to inform websites and services that they do not want certain information about their webpage visits collected over time and across websites or online services.
